How about those colored leaves? I was in HEAVEN.
These were taken after a beautiful day in the vineyard and right before a delicious dinner in McMinnville, Oregon. These darling streets reminded me of back home this time of year.
On our last two trips, I wore this ‘backyard blooms’ smocked top twice on each. One of them I forgot to pack the right undergarments for a different outfit so this was my only option and on the second trip I thought, heck, I love this top so much-why not wear it again? So it’s been worn 4 times in the last 2 weeks since I’ve purchased it. Money well spent.
I call this my go-to date night or dressy top for fall and winter. The dark floral pattern and sheer sleeves give it a sophisticated feel without any effort in dressing up. I thought I’d wear it with this suede mini skirt and booties to get the fall feels but I’ve been also just wearing it with jeans and flats. It’s so elegant and will stand the test of time! I’m always reaching for a dark tops that are pretty but not too memorable when I’m heading out to a dinner but don’t want to think too hard about what I’m wearing.
Do any of you feel like you have some go-to things in your closet that make you feel GOOD but like you don’t have to put too much effort in? It’s the best, isn’t it? If you’re in need of something, I highly recommend this blouse. It’s a classic that will remain a favorite in your closet ;)
