Happy Monday Friends! Did you have a fun weekend? Eric turned 31 and we celebrated with a long walk on the trail, house errands, and a dinner out with friends. It’s starting to get really hot here in Austin. The kind of hot where you really only want to be out and about in the morning and then either in the AC or pool in the afternoon. I’m coming to terms with the fact that I can’t do both a run and walk with the dogs in the same day and our only window to get out is 8am! I bragged about our spring weather thoroughly, so I guess I had this coming.

But you know what? Regardless of how hot it is, Summer is still my second favorite season. Its the time of year where everyone country wide seems to be in a better mood because they can spend time outside. Summer feels like vacation and a chance to unwind. I get nostalgic thinking of previous summer afternoons spent at Deep Eddy pool with a page turner. I still frequent the pool but with a young baby so let’s just say it isn’t as relaxing as it used to be. But it’s still so much fun and I know I’ll look back at these summers in the future and feel the same nostalgia about the quality time with C at the pool.

You know what else I love about summer? A bright & bold Lilly Pulitzer print. Just bringing these back out into my closet make me feel like I’m going somewhere. I couldn’t wait to finally wear my purchases from the Lilly Pulitzer sale while in Florida! I bought so much last year (discounts for 50-70% off are hard to beat) and finally had a place to wear them: the beach! And my favorite outfit was this jumpsuit.

Besides the fun print, this jumpsuit is so soft and comfortable. I may have even taken a nap in this one because I was too lazy to change and why not? The material is stretchy and cooling. My sister wore it on this trip as well and it really brought out her blue eyes. Lilly Pulitzer is always coming out with fun prints and this one is fabulous with its blue and green tones that isn’t as loud as some of the pink patterns. I love the simple string tie and the fact that his material is polyester. It’s light and breezy and PERFECT for hot summer days!
