It’s amazing how quickly babies outgrow products, isn’t it? What we were using when Charlie was first born is quite different than what we are using now, with the exception of a few things. I swore by the Rock n’ Play at the very beginning, but now it’s nearly impossible to have Charlie sleep anywhere on his back during the day (he’s in his crib at night). You might ask where in the world he sleeps then, and currently, that’s on me. Yep. He sleeps pretty well at night and we’re moving into a nap schedule, so I’ll take what I can get. And if he is sleeping in his Ergo baby carrier, well then, mama can get stuff done too.
Because of this constant change, I thought I’d share some new products that we are loving right now. I’ll be sure to mention a few that we still use from the very beginning like the Ergo 360 carrier which is the absolute BEST for travel and for carrying a babe around the house.
I don’t know about you, but I like to know what is going on with my baby developmentally so I can understand how to best navigate each stage. I have been using the Wonder Weeks app on my phone and my parents gave me the book for Christmas. I love referring to it whenever Charlie is going through a change so I can see if what we’re doing is ‘normal’. It’s also fun to see all the activity happening in his little body and what to expect from it! I highly recommend checking it out!
Remember how worried I was about transitioning Charlie out of his swaddle? I started with the Halo Sleepsack that many of you recommended and then moved him into the Merlin sleepsuit. He’s still a little bit small for it (my little babe!) but for the most part, he loves it. It’s warm and I don’t have to worry about him rolling over in it quite yet. It weighs those little arms down.
Charlie LOVES to play. I’ve been laying him down on his playmat and he has started batting toys. There is a little mirror that comes with this one and he loves staring at his face. It will entertain him for a while now! When he starts getting fussy, I carry him around the house facing forward because he loves to see and explore. When my friend was in town last weekend, we opened up our high chair for her son to use, and we decided to put Charlie in there for a minute while we were doing stuff in the kitchen. He LOVED being able to sit up and SEE! He’s not eating solid foods anytime soon but the fact that we can strap him in there safely and he can see and enjoy sitting up- well HEY! Also, this particular high chair is magnetic and comes with a bowl so you don’t have to worry about knocking stuff off of if- hooray!
I have a few diaper bags but one I’ve been using a ton lately is my Skip Hop bag. It’s a backpack we use for travel that I registered for after a little boy in my class had it last year. It fits exactly what you need in there perfectly. Charlie will use that as his bag when he goes to pre-school.
Other products I’m loving? The softest blanket in the world (do they make them for adults?!), my hands-free pumping bra, and of course, the softest Kickee Pants onesie. Not pictured? My Aden + Anais burp cloths. Wish I had a zillion more because I have to throw several in the wash each day.
Ones we still love from the very beginning? Besides our 360 carrier, I still use this sound machine daily. I’m in the market for one that runs all night and doesn’t need to be charged every day… Any recs? Also, I love all of my Dr. Brown’s products, especially my boppy pillow :)

Thanks for sharing these products! I just downloaded the Wonder Weeks app last night. My little man has been skipping naps and has me wondering why the heck he’s boycotting our schedule! We also love our ergo carrier and Benjamin loves his play gym too. It’s so fun to watch babies play and smile at their toys!
