MATERNITY

Yellow Floral Maternity Dress

SHOP THE POST

Well this hasn’t been the most glamorous week of pregnancy for me, to be perfectly honest. I’m feeling emotionally drained after what’s felt like the longest week so far, but I’m glad we only have 2 months left until Baby arrives. I’ve been taking advantage of our overcast weather and getting chores done around the house and haven’t minded the guiltless Netflix binging I’ve been doing… Bloodline, anyone?

I may or may not have broken out the pumpkin spiced candle already (the obsession is REAL) and watched some ‘cozy’ movies like The Time Travelers Wife...(a total favorite). Rainy days + AC lends itself to pretending its fall pretty easily ;) Don’t mind if I do!

August is an interesting month for me because I always feel like I’m going back to school again. September feels like a fresh start and an opportunity to get organized. Do any of you feel that way? August is the sound of cicadas and the last chance for summer travels. A year ago I was in Europe on a ‘Last Hoorah’ trip exploring the world with my sisters and now I’m waiting on a baby. It’s crazy how life works. And sometimes I’m in awe.

I wanted to quick share this pretty yellow floral maternity dress from ASOS that I wore to my shower a couple weeks ago. Lovely transition, #amirite ;) It’s the perfect gender neutral dress in case you aren’t finding out the sex of your baby. I love the little shoulder cut outs and the light print. I paired it with my pineapple earrings and favorite flats from 2016. Dresses are about the only thing I can really wear these days so I’m making sure to pick out ones I love!

Though I’m one who never tires of floral prints, I’m really looking forward to wearing denim, cardigans, and booties again. I wish I had been able to take more advantage of the Nordstrom Sale (ending THIS SUNDAY), but it’s hard to buy things when you’re not sure how they’ll fit!

Soon enough. Soon enough. Fall, I see you…

Beautiful dress- I love the shoulder and sleeve details and you look lovely! I’m also feeling a little longing for fall. I enjoy the warmth of summer, but I’m also super looking forward to cooler weather, pumpkin everything, and wearing layers. Like you, I’m also looking forward to our baby’s fall due date! Our baby is due in November, and I can’t help thinking about how fun Christmas is going to be. Sorry everyone else who wants summer to last forever (but not really sorry!)! :)

Haha I would never wish summer to last forever- especially not in Texas! So excited to have a little one in the cooler months. It will be so fun at Chrismtastime too :) Yes!
