Hi there! How was your weekend? Ours started with haze and rain which made for a good day to get many chores done.  We started our baby registry which was weighing heavily on my to-do list and I’m so glad we have a better sense of what we are in store for! Holy cow… when they say you’re life will totally change, it’s no joke. And we are super pumped :)

I forced E to watch a movie with me (not always his favorite activity but he ended up loving it)… If you haven’t seen Fracture, it’s several years old and very good. Thrillers are our favorite genre. And Anthony Hopkins just nails the creepy role so well.

On Sunday we got to see a friend who was in town for a bachelor party and then watched the ACMAs later that night. Love me some Carrie Underwood! Is she a knock out or what? And I just loved watching Faith Hill and Tim McGraw perform together…

And then I had the best Monday of Mondays ever. I got my work out in, got some blog projects organized, and then enjoyed my first day in 2017 at the pool! YAY for the most gorgeous spring weather :) I also started this book Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother which I can’t put down. There’s nothing quite like a little vitamin D and an good read to get an afternoon going ;)

Anyway, did you have a good weekend?

I found this baby blue dress at Nordstrom a few weeks ago and loved the pattern and the flow of the lightweight material. I’m not a huge midi dress person unless I find the perfect fit… It often makes any curve I may or may not have completely disappear. But I love the color, print, and bohemian flare of the dress. And yes, twirling is as fun as it looks ;)

I’m wearing it with a new pair of flirty tassel earrings I scooped up from Baublebar :) They come in so many colors and are the perfect touch to an outfit! And my ankle strap heels are such a deal for under $60. I wear them to just about every wedding ;)

Eric is in Chicago this week and I’m holding down the fort with the pups. It’s going to be in the 80s this week so if I get an opportunity between work and chores, you can bet I’ll get back to the pool again :)
