I hope you had a fabulous weekend loves! Today is my favorite kind of Monday. The Monday before Thanksgiving where I am off of school and currently in my Christmas pjs listening to George Winston, sipping coffee, and blogging from my parents living room in Chicago where it is quite chilly outside. I couldn’t feel more in the Christmas spirit! Especially after a fun weekend shopping at the Junior League Christmas Affair and putting up décor in our home. If you hate those people who do that before Thanksgiving, please forgive me. I wanted to come home to an already decorated place! I need more than 4 weeks to enjoy the lights, allure, and merriment that is the holiday season.

Today I am sharing one of my favorite holiday looks: a festive plaid top paired with a high rise faux leather skirt :) This top is only $32 dollars, gals! My ankle strap heels are from a few season ago but I found a similar pair that are quite perfect for those holiday parties in a warmer climate. If you’re in a cool area like Chicago, consider wearing this outfit with tights and pumps. So chic and sexy! I love my statement necklace from JCrew a few seasons ago and found a similar pretty one for under $100. If that still sounds like a lot, well it is. Head to J Crew factory for necklaces that under $30! I had a hard time finding one that looked like mine so I showed you the other one ;) I am also wearing my favorite lipstick from Nars called Audacious… it’s so great for fall and winter :) Bold lips are my favorite. I think what I love most about this outfit is that as an Autumn Girl, plaid is my favorite, and this top merges two of my favorite seasons: fall & the holidays… Plus the dark tones of this particular one are so gorgeous.

I am looking forward to exploring downtown Chicago, seeing all the pretty lights & displays, and visiting with my grandparents who arrive tomorrow. Then we head to Ohio on Thursday where we will see Eric’s family. I’m feeling super thankful for an entire week of family & feasting :)
