About a month ago, Capri Daun from Kiss the Girl Hair & Makeup reached out to me about a special collaboration. When someone offers to do my hair & make up for a blog post, I say YES! The only times I have had my hair and make up done is for weddings. It’s such a fun way to pamper yourself and feel glamorous.

So on a lovely (scorching hot) Friday afternoon, Capri & Alicia met me at my house for a little style party. We listened to music, talked about life, and goofed around as they glammed me up. I thought about all the reasons one would love to get their hair and make up done and it goes beyond weddings. Are you in need of head shots for your business? Hair and make up would be perfect for that (although I wouldn’t recommend lashes if you’re going for a more natural headshot). Are you getting ready to celebrate a big birthday and want an opportunity to go all out? Is it your Anniversary? Are you attending any charity events or galas? There are so many opportunities for you to do a little extra and feel like a superstar.

After Capri reached out to me, I immediately thought of ideas for a cool shoot. I pulled together three outfits: a bridesmaid dress, a fancy gala type dress, and just a simple summertime favorite– all outfits that could be styled with a cool up-do and beautiful make up. They’ll each be featured in their own blog post :)

What I loved about working with Capri & Alicia is that I felt like I was just kickin’ it with friends while getting ready for a fun night out.
