PARIS!

10.07.2015

Paris has to be one of the most unique, beautiful, chic, & glamorous cities in the world. The Eiffel Tower and all its magic,  the beautiful streets and arrondissements, and the inviting cafes on nearly every corner are only a drop in the bucket of the grandeur in Paris. It was our first stop on our honeymoon and one of the highlights.Eric and I loved strolling the streets and taking pictures of the beautiful flower shops, restaurants, neighborhoods, and doors. Everything was picture worthy. It took us a few days to realize that when you order “coffee”, you are served espresso. You must ask for American Coffee if you want your good ole cup of Joe ;)

My cousin sent us an extremely detailed spreadsheet of different restaurants, shops, wine bars, & locations to see. It even detailed what time to eat, what to order, and the price point for each dining spot. It was amazing and we used it for a lot of our stay in Paris!

Favorite Restaurants:

Cafe de Flore: try the “Le Jockey” which is fried egg on ham and cheese bread

L’Entrecote: order steak & frites. Note that when you finish your frites, they’ll probably keep bringing it until you stop them! We drank Chateau de Sahrs Rsever Eliezer 2011 wine and loved it

Le Garde Robe: perfect hidden gem for a glass of wine

Eggs & Co: awesome little brunch spot (we did this two days in a row for breakfast)

Sebillion: Great great great duck foie gras, a traditional French Christmas meal

We planned a picnic in the park by Eiffel Tower for the second day. We stopped at a grocery to pick up cheese and crackers and walked to a wine shop to get champagne and a bottle of Red. And we stopped by an adorable chocolate store called Chapon where we picked a few treats and a mug for a souvenir. It was everything. Such a fun day.

We got up early and planned on touring some museums but the Musée d’Orsay had a significantly long line and the Louvre happened to be closed on that Tuesday. So strange! But we walked around anyway and took a ton of pictures.

We spent our last day in France touring Palace Versailles. AHHHHH! It was an overcast and slightly chilly day which had me on Cloud 9. I love weather. Per usual, Eric and I opted out of the tour and strolled the grounds ourselves. It was insanely vast and gorgeous. We took tons of pictures and learned nothing other than we have too much fun goofing around with each other. We finished our trip with a dinner at Sebillion, listed above. My uncle recommended it and it was fabulous end to our Paris leg of the trip!
