I started this blog in October of 2015 in the heart of my favorite season with a pumpkin spiced candle lit on the counter, sipping coffee and listening to Adele pandora. While trying to brainstorm ideas for what to call this little blog of mine, I had to think of something that encompasses the heart of who I am. And I thought, when am I happiest? What makes me who I am? And it just kind of came to me. Autumn. The season in which I thrive & flourish. I’ll get a text in September from a friend saying, “The leaves are changing! I thought of you!” or a call in October, “It’s your month! When are we carving pumpkins?” Autumn is me.

I’m not saying I’m dull the rest of the year (in fact, I promise I’m not!)…. But I do find I’m awake, alive, and inspired most when the weather is light and warm, the colors around me are swirling, and everyone is outside making the most of the beautiful surroundings.

Here on The Autumn Girl, you’ll find lots of style tips, outfits, travel adventures, honest moments of motherhood, and (soon) home decor.

I hope to be a source of inspiration to my readers and in turn learn from and be inspired by you.
