I can’t believe my buttery baby boy is already almost 4 months old. I just gave away some of our baby things we won’t use anymore and it made me feel so emotional knowing the early baby phase is over for me! But it also feels good to declutter.
Will is such an easy baby. Thank goodness. I remember two years ago at this very time with baby Jack who was struggling with bottles, getting his first stomach bug, and losing weight. It was so stressful. Will is the opposite when it comes to eating. He LOVES to eat and is my biggest baby. He eats 5 times a day and the occasional 8 oz bottle already. It’s nuts! I could barely get Jack to eat 2 oz at a time at this age. Ohhh the differences in each child.
Will also sleeps 12 hours a night and started right when he turned 3 months. Zero sleep training involved! He just figured it out and what really helped was transitioning him out of the swaddle into a sleep sack. McKenna was a great sleeper too but Charlie and Jack didn’t figure out sleep until a little bit later.
I have said this before but it’s so fun having a blog as a little diary and being able to go back and see what my other kids were like at 3 months! I always referenced these schedules when transitioning and although I won’t need Will’s in the future, it will be fun to look back on this moment in time.
We follow Mom’s on Call which has always been the best schedule for us!
7am: wake + 6 oz bottle
8:30-9:30 nap
9:30 bottle
11-12:30 nap
12:30 bottle
2-3:30 nap
3:30 bottle
5:30 cat nap
6:30 bottle
7pm bath + bed!
We sometimes have to adjust when I pick up kids from school or are out and about, etc. But I just move up or down a half hour. Will’s naps haven’t been super consistent lately but when he wakes, we just play and I wait to serve bottle until the next window. I moved his bottles up a half hour than the normal MOC schedule to get him on the same nap schedule as Jack and it’s been great! From 2-3, I usually have a very quiet house and it’s wonderful.
I love genetics. It’s so fun looking at these 3 month milestone posts with Charlie, McKenna, and Jack. So many similarities. But so many differences too!
