Hi friends! You’re probably noticing a little change around here. I’ve kind of shifted my creativity lately and have been spending more time painting than blogging. There’s this peace I’ve found with painting that brings me a deeper sense of self. With zero pressure and endless possibility, I find this creative outlet simply therapeutic. I have a feeling that The Autumn Girl will shift right along with me and you’ll see more art on my social channels and here in this space.

Blogging is something I’ve done for almost 7 years now and it really has been the best outlet for me to merge all my hobbies. I hope I continue to write and share things I’ve been eyeing or feeling. Sharing is something that comes naturally to me and I love having this corner of the internet to look back at my memories.

But now I want to share more art! I’ve been painting champagne bottles for a year now and just started dabbling with pet portraits. I was inspired on a recent trip to paint some landscapes and I can’t wait to try more mediums and see what clicks.  You can see how I make my champagne bottles here.

I’ve been dreaming lately of one day creating home decor pieces. And I don’t mean just canvases. I have this vision of designing mugs and pillowcases and platters and maybe other textiles of some sort but the vision isn’t quite clear. I am just itching to create something of my own and have fun with it. We’ll see what that will be!
