After your first pregnancy, you quickly learn the ins and outs of the items you actually need vs the ones you think you need. The maternity/baby market must do really well because they convince you that you need everything. Now that I’m near the end of my 3rd pregnancy, I’ve really narrowed down my list to a few simple things: a clean skincare routine, a few maternity tees, cardigans, and comfortable leggings. Dressing up is putting on a flowy dress or pair of maternity jeans. But my daily uniform, especially at the end, is allllll about comfort. So leggings and tees it is.
My maternity tees are all from Target and I’ve worn small, medium, and now large all in this pregnancy. I love how cheap they are (especially if you stock up on a few!) and hold together well.
My absolute favorite pair of leggings is the align legging from Lululemon. They are non-maternity which I prefer so you can wear them after pregnancy, and will fit throughout the entire duration of pregnancy. I have both the cropped pair and full length in black. But they come in all sorts of color options!
I have a great selection of cardigans and sweaters, mostly from Loft, Target, and Amazon. I personally think Loft has the best quality items at the most affordable price (ALWAYS buy them on sale!) and their Lou & Grey line is insanely comfortable. I just recently picked up the most chic and comfy cardigan though, pictured up above. Colorblock and so soft!
My skincare routine is the same in pregnancy as it is regularly, except I’m not using any retinol products right now. I wrote about my favorites recently but here they are again! In this order:
Beauty Counter Vitamin C Serum
Biossance Moisturizer
Drunk Elephant Anti-Pollution Sunshine Drops
Tula Moisturizing Primer
Supergoop Sunscreen
And for night: Drunk Elephant Oil (by far, my favorite skincare product for dry skin)
Other than that, I love a good flowy dress for warmer weather and a comfortable sneaker. I love wearing jeans but after a few hours they always become #saggybutt on me so I can’t recommend you a good pair. I don’t even remember where I got mine… I just know that I have to wash them after every use to make them fitted again, ha! So maybe YOU have a recommendation for Me?
I’m 35 weeks today! Getting so close and I’m so excited.
