Clean Beauty Holiday Favorites

12.07.2020

I’ve slowly started transitioning my favorite beauty and skincare products to clean brands, especially over the past year as I prepared for pregnancy. It takes a bit of time to replace these things, especially since the good & clean kinds are more expensive than your favorite drugstore products. And rightfully so! Our skin is the largest organ in our bodies and it makes sense to want to treat it well. I’ve decided as a mom, it’s time to make the investment in healthier beauty products.

Over the past year I have found myself wearing less makeup, but making sure the products I do use go the extra mile. Less is more! One of my good friends just started selling Beauty Counter and I’ve been eager to try the brand that is so raved about from a trusted source. I bought the Vitamin C serum, tinted foundation in medium, and of course, a subtle lipgloss! (color: bare shimmer)

I have also been using the Tula’s priming moisturizer mixed with Drunk Elephant’s anti-pollution sunshine drops (only $36!!) to add the perfect glow to my skin. The tula makes my skin feel like velvet and I swear the sunshine drops makes my skin look vibrant and sun kissed! Nothing like a healthy skincare option that also gives you a subtle glow. I will note that the sunshine drops only last for the day you use them. It’s not meant to have a lingering color.

I use Beauty Counter’s Vitamin C serum daily along with the Tula priming moisturizer (which is SO soft and buttery). I’ll add in the sunshine drops a few days a week if I want that extra glow. The one product I add in in winter which is also clean and hands-down, my favorite skincare product ever: Drunk Elephant’s Luxury Face Oil. I use this overnight and on those dry days when my skin needs extra moisture mixed in with the Tula primer. It’s a total game changer.

Each of these items would make amazing gifts this holiday season. I’ve already checked a few off my list including myself :)

Here is the order in which I use them:

Vitamin C serum

Tula Primer (mixed with sunshine drops 3x a week)

Facial Oil (on dry days)

Sunscreen

Beauty Counter Foundation

Concealer

Mascara

Lipgloss… voila!
