I am a few days late in sharing these photos but I’m so excited to show you our dining room transformation. We have been working with designer Lauren Ramirez who has made our vision for our home come to life! The space I was most excited to update was our dining area as it’s a statement room at the front of our home and one we will use often when the weather cools down and family get togethers move indoors.
The room was very simple with all white walls and curtains and we knew we wanted to add some color and create a traditional feel. Eric has always loved wainscoting which is the paneling you see in the room. I had a vision of a blush/coral wallpaper and we loved this beautiful grasscloth. Our farmhouse table you may recognize from previous home posts is one we found at our local Four Hands Furniture!
We aren’t really sure what our style is, but we’ve previously called it “contemporary farmhouse” and I think this room kind of encompasses that! We would never have picked green velvet chairs on our own but that’s where Lauren added her magic touch. I think it adds a level of formality and is the perfect color to blend seasons and holidays! We also chose fabric that wouldn’t get destroyed by little kids or red wine!
One of my favorite parts of this room is our chandelier which is the one item I can link for you! I actually liked the one before but once this was hung up, I was mesmerized. It’s such a statement piece!
I can’t wait to set the table for the holidays and for all the fun conversations and memories we will make around this table.
