There’s something about a beautiful place setting that makes me so happy. I love entertaining. I love home decor. And providing a pretty tablescape in anticipation of whatever celebration it may be combines my love for both.
Our dining room is currently being re-designed and I cannot wait to show you the final touches but as of right now, it’s all white. The biggest change you’ll notice is COLOR.
For now, adding color to this space comes with decorating the table. And while we haven’t eaten a single meal here since summer began, I was excited to dress this table up to photograph and mentally prepare for future celebrations.
As many of you may know, I absolutely adore chinoiserie prints and the combo of blue and white. But I thought it would be fun to add a pink print tablecloth for a more feminine display. We don’t have pink glassware but these beautiful glasses from Anthropologie in green seemed to complement everything else on the table (similar linked here). I was gifted Serena and Lilly napkins a while ago and truthfully, we’ve never used them because they are so pretty and I haven’t wanted to dirty them for photos, ha. So you have have noticed there are only four and I had to move them around for various pictures!
Our dishware is one of my favorite things we registered for and is by a brand I adore called Juliska. They have so many festive plates for the holidays as well and I love that this casual china lends itself to every day use. Underneath them are rattan placemats which fit our table perfectly for a setting of 8.
And of course, front and center is my ginger jar planter, one that looks stunning filled with hydrangeas and adds such a classic element to this table. I filled two cocktail glasses with the remaining flowers and I love the simple little bouquets. Not pictured is our beautiful ginger jar champagne bucket that complements the table perfectly and is currently on sale. A pretty champagne bucket is always in style!
