I’m not normally one to gravitate towards midi skirts because they can make me feel boxy and short. I’m more of a mini skirt kind of gal but something about this red leopard skirt drew me in.
There are some really great style bloggers out there who are able to show you multiple ways to wear things and as much as I love doing that, it’s not my biggest talent. I’m more casual and generally wear outfits where I just change the shoe and it’s a different look. But something about this leopard skirt made me feel creative.
I know that these two looks aren’t really that different but I also shared another one over on Instagram stories (saved in ‘shop’ highlight reel) of this skirt with a white sweater. I plan on wearing that outfit for Thanksgiving if it’s not too warm here! I think it’s such an elegant look and not a hard skirt to be in while playing with kids.
I didn’t think I’d ever get used to the idea of a dress or skirt worn with a sneaker but now that I’m a mom and life is just more casual, I really enjoy that this style! I have a feeling we’re going to look back and wonder what we were thinking but for now, being comfy and feeling trendy works for me!
If I were to shoot these photos again, I would rotate out the mules for booties. I love these mules but booties would have fit the fall look much better. My jacket, hat, and shoes are old but I linked similar ones below for you! I highly recommend Brixton hats. I wear this hat ALL the time as you know!

So. Are midi skirts drawing you in too?!

You look just adorable in that skirt, with sneakers too! You wear it so well! I still feel funny about wearing a skirt or dress with sneakers but comfort wins out!!

Thanks so much, Patti! It does feel kind of funny but you’re right- comfort wins!
