Hello sweet summer! Normally I get pretty overwhelmed by Austin summers and feel like they last too forrrever. I know it’s just the beginning of this hot hot season but I’m already feeling different about it than years before. Maybe it’s because I’m so busy with two kiddos that I don’t have time to be bored in the heat or maybe it’s because I’m having so much fun doing water activities, but I’m really feeling positive about this season right now.
Now that Charlie is almost two and understands me (for the most part), we are having so much fun PLAYING together! When we were in Chicago, my mom and I took him to the zoo, to the Museum of Science and Industry, to the beach, and I loved seeing him explore. It feels like we can finally do a lot more activities together and it’s making me excited about creating my summer bucket list. Here are some of my ideas for this summer:
Summer Bucket List:
Take kids to a 4th of July parade
Have a cookout at our house
Take Charlie to a painting class
Get our bedroom and office painted!
Do a wine tasting
Read 3 books (can I do one a month? It will be major progress since reading has become so bottom tier on my priority list!)
Re-organize our master closet. So much crap in random places and I’m ready for a purge!
Drive out to McKinney Falls State Park with the fam. We’ve been reading all the Austin token spots in ‘Goodnight Austin’ (I’m sure there is a version of your city!) and this is one of the places we haven’t been to.
What are your summer plans? Any fun things you’re hoping to do?
I’ve really been digging rompers lately and love this floral print! I was so pumped when I found out this brand also sells clothing on Amazon. Prime shipping can’t be beat! Also, this is 50% off right now so go go. Make sure to size up as it runs pretty short!
