The official countdown to baby has begun and January marks the month of final preparations. I made a check list of items I would need for baby and opened up my storage boxes to break out some of the things we used when Charlie was first born.
There are several new items we are buying for Baby Girl but many that are repeat buys of products we absolutely loved. Favorites include nursing bras that I would sleep in (I wanted new ones since I pretty much lived in them before!) and another nursing pillow (so I can have one upstairs and downstairs to make my life as easy as possible). The reason I chose this specific nursing pillow is because I love the contour of it and how one side is bigger than the other. It makes adjusting it so easy.
I bought more glow in the dark pacifiers because they were a life saver in those first weeks when Charlie would drop it in the middle of the night and I could easily find it in his bassinet. I wanted to avoid turning lights on as much as possible! We bought a second sound machine and will be buying another monitor because we’ll need them for each kiddo. The Dohm Sound machine was one I was recommended by many friends and I love it because it really blocks out other sounds well. In previous posts, I shared a portable sound machine and the adorable lamb one too but both didn’t have longevity like the Dohm.
We swear by the Halo sleepsack and I am going to buy one in newborn size since I didn’t start these until 3 months with Charlie. We swaddled and had other methods but I found that this sleepsack worked best for us!
I got the Fawn Design Diaper bag for Christmas and I’m so excited to have one that is so stylish! It’s a backpack which I thought was most practical for my lifestyle. The black bag I had for Charlie has become his bag for daycare so I’m eager to have one that I can cart around town for baby girl.
We’re replacing our old baby tub because it got soooo moldy and gross and a few moms recommended the Angel Care tub!
I am eager to try a baby wrap for when Baby Girl is first born because they look so cozy and the perfect way for us to snuggle. I love our baby carrier but would rather try something softer for when she is smaller!
And finally, we purchased a double jogger! It’s the BOB which has been recommended by countless friends and I’m so excited to take this one to the trail!
