Our house is starting to really feel like a home. It’s taken many months of accumulating furniture and decor to really start making this place feel cozy. Then of course we babyproofed everything and had to stash many things away, but it still feels warm and inviting when you walk into our space.
You may be surprised that Charlie has taken very little interest in our tree and presents which is why everything is out on display. Hoping this lack of interest lasts!
Today I’m so excited to show you all the holiday touches we added to our house this year to make this place feel ready for the season. Since it’s our first Christmas here (hosting as well!), we wanted it to feel extra cozy and special. And ready for entertainment!
I love our dining area and this beautiful bar nook. These built in shelves have been the perfect place to stash all our little trinkets and miniature Christmas tree. We picked up the most adorable felt snowmen and moose to display with our candles it feels like a cozy winter scene.
CHRISTMAS CANDLES & DECOR:
Our dining furniture is from Fourhands Furniture and our table is my favorite piece in our house! I love hosting and setting the table in anticipation of a delicious meal and good conversation. My grandmother gave us these beautiful Christmas tree glasses years ago and I just bought festive plaid tartan napkins to go with. The perfect combo! We use our Juliska serving tray as a centerpiece filled with pinecones and faux berries. I love the mix of reds and greens at the table!
CHRISTMAS TABLE DECOR:
We bought our stockings from Land’s End! We actually had one made for baby Girl with her name on it! It’s stashed away in a hidden space but I can’t wait to hang all four next year! We decided the stairs were the safest place to display our stockings without a curious toddler to pull them down. I love the silver reindeer holding them up!
STOCKINGS:
What kind of ornaments do you have? Do you have ribbons on your tree or a theme? I love the nostalgic feel of ornaments from various vacations and trinkets from our past. We have Charlie’s foot and hand prints on display and it makes me so happy!
We actually have two trees. We got a new and bigger one this year for our living room and used our previous one in our office. Our front office tree has more of a theme with balls but our living room has a hodgepodge of all my favorites.

Cozy Christmas pillows are my favorite. Our collection grows every year. I couldn’t find any of these exact ones online but there are SO many fun pillows to choose from! I think they add the perfect festive touch to a room and make curling up with hot chocolate and a Christmas movie even more magical :)
Our tree and garlands are from Balsam Hill!
CHRISTMAS PILLOWS:
I can’t believe Christmas is in less than a week. The season has flown by! Looking forward to our visitors and hosting our first holiday!
