‘Tis the Season…for Christmas cards! And lots of snail mail. My favorite.
Aren’t holiday cards nostalgic? It’s always fun to look back at previous years and laugh at some of the moments. There were definitely many pictures with tears, matching outfits, pouty faces, and over the top cheesy grins. It just depended on the mood we were in and who was squeezing who (ha).
Today I’m partnering with Basic Invite to show you our 2018 Christmas card! I squeezed Charlie into his Christmas onesie (sized for a 6 month old), desperate for the adorable tartan plaid outfit to fit him. A few buttons were popping but we managed and I was able to snag the most adorable smile from him. This stage- it’s too fun.
I’m a sucker for beautiful Christmas cards. I’ve made them for years now, before I had my own family. My mom used to design really unique and beautiful cards and I’ve been inspired ever since to do the same.
Basic Invite Made the process so easy for me. With over 500 Holiday cards and designs, I had plenty of options to choose from. I wanted to have a solo picture in the front with simple wording and family picture with a life update in the back. Once I found the caption Joyful, I was sold. I couldn’t think of a better way to describe our year.
The design options at Basic Invite are endless. They have almost unlimited color fonts as well as 40 different color envelopes. They also offer flat or raised foil in gold, silver, and rose gold. I kept our envelopes simple, but changed the font color on the front of our card to match Charlie’s outfit! I love the cranberry red, don’t you?
Basic Invite also offers sample cards so you can feel and look at the product before ordering a huge bundle! I had ours delivered to check the quality of the colors printed and texture of the paper. Once it arrived, I ordered the rest :) What I did different this year (and I’m so excited about!) is order envelopes with our return address! It makes the whole addressing system so much easier!
Basic Invite also creates corporate Holiday cards if you’re looking to send something out from your whole team! In addition, they have great ideas for weddings, invitations, announcements, stationary and more!
I can’t wait for all those Holiday cards to start rolling in. I plan on hanging them up in our front hallway for all to see. It’s such a special way reflect on the year and count our blessings. Have you created your Christmas card?
Right now, you can get 30% off your Holiday card order using code HOLI30!
