WELCOME TO OUR HUMBLE ABODE! And my first home decor post since we moved into our house!
Eric and I have been working hard at making this place a home. It’s starting to feel more finished as we go room by room and today I’m excited to show your our dining area!
As we started browsing new dining tables, my dad recommended we GO BIG. Why? Because we love to entertain here at the Dunigan house.
In fact, entertaining might be one of our favorite activities to do together. We love having people over, cooking, drinking wine, and chatting in a cozy environment. So we took my dad’s advice and got a big dining table with 8 chairs. And it’s one of my favorite spaces in our whole house!
We haven’t had as many dinners at this new table as I would like. But we will soon enough. I blame pregnancy and our travel schedule but after Thanksgiving, we will be hunkering down for a while.
I set this for a casual dinner (1 knife + 1 fork) although I’ll be breaking out our fancy silverware & crystal for the holidays. I like the idea of actually using these nice items we have!
We didn’t register for the typical china dining sets that many do when they get married. And so far we haven’t regretted it. A friend recommended we check out Juliska and after browsing their site, I fell in love with their simple and pretty designs. They now sell them at Nordstrom which is a huge plus (free shipping + returns) and they have been used as our daily dishes! They are so durable and we’ve only chipped 1 bowl in the last 4 years!
Juliska has the most gorgeous Holiday sets as well. Someday I’d love to buy them and have special dinnerware for the Holidays. But right now the Berry & Thread works all year round :) I just bought these tartan napkins (on sale!) for Christmas and can’t wait to replace the pumpkins in the platter with pinecones!

Our dining table + chairs (and several other pieces in our house) are all from Four Hands Furniture.
Our painting is one we bought in Santa Fe!

This post is not sponsored by Juliska or Nordstrom (I wish!). I just wanted to share my honest opinion and love for this brand and retailer. I highly recommend adding Juliska to your wedding registry or looking at their Holiday dinnerware if you’re in the market for it!
What’s your favorite space in your house?
