HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Our only rainy day this week lands on Halloween, of course. I’m hoping we get out to trick-or-treat but if we don’t, we’ll at least dress in our costumes! I made this Graveyard Cake yesterday as I planned and I thought I’d share it with you since it’s SO easy and the perfect last minute treat if you’re looking for something fun to do with your kids or bring to a party!
All you need to do is buy one a cake mix package + frosting and a few other ingredients. I really enjoyed liked using Milano cookies as tombstones and little candy corn pumpkins to add a bit of FALL to this recipe!
Ingredients:
1 cake mix package
1 can chocolate frosting
1 package Milano cookies
1 package candy corn (with the little pumpkins! I think they are called ‘Autumn Mix’)
Gummy worms (scary!)
Icing pen (to write on tombstones)
1 cake pan
Directions:
Mix cake package with necessary ingredients and bake. Most will take about 30 minutes.
In that time frame, write on the tombstones with the frosting pen!
Pull out cake and let it cool for 15 minutes
Lather on icing
Insert milano tombstones
Add pumpkins & candy corn!
I added gummy worms last so I could push them down and have them blend in with the frosting (and not be in way of pumpkins!)
Serve & enjoy!
