A Styled Family Shoot + Giveaway!

You know when you get that perfect moment snapped that you just want to frame & have on your wall forever? That’s how I felt about these photos from our styled shoot with Sana Ahmed Photography so I went ahead and shared SO many.

I’ve been fortunate to have many special photos taken of my family because of this blog. But what I really enjoyed about shooting with Sana was that it was a totally different experience than others! She styled my whole family and came over to my house for a one on one consultation to help me pick an outfit (she brought them to me!) and give her a little more sense of my family and personalities. That way she could capture us best :)

First, we had a pre-session consultation where we discussed a vision for our shoot (we shot these at the gorgeous Sekrit Theater!). And then we discussed styling!

Sana specializes in newborn, maternity, and family photography. She shoots light and airy photos with a neutral organic palette. You’ll notice the colors and outfits on her Instagram feed all have a certain aesthetic. I wasn’t sure how this would work- style my whole family? But sure enough, she had outfits for Charlie and helped me look through Eric’s clothing to pick his ensemble too. She brought me 8 dresses to try on (she has ALL different sizes & styles for petite women to plus size!) and we ended up picking one of my own that looked identical to one she brought. She also carries kids clothing sizes up to age 8 and soon will include Dads.

I don’t know about you, but getting my family to wear outfits that complement each other and photograph well can be a challenge. Sometimes it’s overwhelming to browse stores to find the perfect outfit. With Sana, I didn’t have to go out and purchase anything. She brought the outfits to me and helped us work with other pieces that we had. She made the whole process seamless and easy!

Besides a gallery of high quality images, Sana also creates fine art pieces that will last a lifetime! From matted prints to heirloom albums, she will create a work of art you’ll cherish forever.
