Happy Tuesday friends!
We’re back in sunny Austin after a week vacation in Chicago. It was therapeutic to get a break from the heat and walk along Lake Michigan. Now that we’re home, Charlie’s been catching up on sleep and I’ve been focusing on getting our schedule and life back in order.
Today is Harry Potter’s birthday (is this significant for any of you?) and I’ll always remember this time of year as a kid where I’d open up my books and get excited for the magic to unfold. Who wrote letters to Harry Potter besides me?!
Two years ago I was abroad in Europe with my sisters exploring London on a Harry Potter walking tour. Now all I want to do is go back and do it again! One can dream.
What’s getting you going this week?
Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times if one only remembers to turn on a light- Albus Dumbledore
We just got a vitamix and I’m so excited to make my own nut butters! First up- peanut butter.
Shop my favorites from the flatlay above! Only a few more days to snag these flats for under $50! They come in 5 colors :)

Over the weekend we celebrated 50 years of Solberg Manufacturing Inc. Solberg is a family company my grandfather started in the 60s after developing a silent air filter. My uncles run the business now and three cousins work there full time. There was a picnic at a horse stable to celebrate on Saturday and every single family member made it in town for the festivities. That’s incredible. 6 kids, 27 grandkids,, and 13 great grandkids (and all the spouses). That’s an amazing effort. My grandfather left quite a legacy and it was so special to be with everyone in such a beautiful setting. Feeling very thankful for family :)
