Summer Accessories with Victoria Emerson

Can you believe the record heat here in Austin? I’m hiding in the AC right now, in awe that summer weather is already here (and probably here to stay). I wasn’t ready! But since I can’t do much about it, I’ll just embrace it by breaking out the bright summer colors, getting ample time at the pool, and making sure to do my walking in the morning. How do you combat the heat?

I can’t believe we are moving in just 5 weeks! I’ve already started purging and packing. If there’s a positive side to moving (besides the new place, of course), it’s the opportunity to get rid of things you no longer wear or use. I did a huge jewelry clean out and got rid of a lot of my old jewelry from high school and college. I said goodbye to lots of broken pieces, super chunky pieces, and earrings that are missing their other half. I have this pretty white box where I can now see my jewelry neatly displayed and I’ve noticed a trend among my collection: simple gold pieces, the color turquoise, and a good statement necklace.
