My Favorite Products for a Simple Beauty Regimen

I haven’t really shared many beauty posts here and that’s because my beauty routine hasn’t changed much over the years. In fact, you’re going to see some products that have clearly been used quite a bit and are almost out! I am amazed when I see girls with giant beauty bags. How do they learn so many techniques? Since becoming a blogger, I’ve picked up a few tricks, but have found that I’ve stuck in my comfort zone when it comes to buying products. Unless it’s the holidays or I have a special event coming up where I’ll pick up some new shades of lipsticks, I’m all about an easy beauty regime that requires few products.

I actually filmed a little video for you guys on my phone but when I went to pull it up on the computer, I realized that my makeup was smudged or heavy in certain areas. You guys- the camera quality on phones is real! And don’t rely on a selfie camera as a mirror! HA! I’ll keep working on getting some video content for the blog, but until then, here are a few pictures of my favorite products.

CLINIQUE PERFECTING FOUNDATION/CONCEALER If I had to choose only one make up product to wear every day, it would be a concealer foundation. I’m all about creating a blemish-free face. My favorite favorite product is my perfecting foundation/concealer from Clinique. It makes me feel so even! I’ve been using this product for a few years now. I also used my CLINIQUE CONCEALER in a slightly lighter shade to cover that under eye darkness and give my eyes a bit of brightness. I highly recommend a combo of both!

NAKED FLUSHED PALETTE- URBAN DECAY: Can you tell a gal used to love her bronzer? Damn! It’s funny because I don’t even use bronzer anymore. I’m all about a creamy, even look instead of a tan one. I love love this blush and highlighter. Just a subtle brush of blush on the cheeks gives you that rosy look.

NATURAL EYES EYESHADOW: I am in love with shimmery natural colors for eye shadow. Just a tiny bit brushed over my lids gives me eyes a bit of life! I’m especially fond of the golds and creamy shades of nude. I’ll wear a darker color for a night time look.

MASCARA AND LIQUID EYELINER: I go to the drugstore basics for these (although I also love Bobbi Brown)! I find L’Oreal voluminous mascara to do wonders to my lashes and liquid eyeliner to be the perfect touch for giving my eyes a bit of lift…

BOBBI BROWN EYELINER: For my bottom lashes and nighttime look, I use Bobbi Brown Eyeliner. It lasts all night and gives that subtle depth to my eyes which I love.

BARE MINERALS BRUSH: I personally love this brush more than others because of the flat top. I think it’s better for mixing concealers and not flicking specks of blush over my face. I also use a smaller brush dabbed in water for eyeshadow. I wasn’t a huge fan of brushes until a few years ago but I find they make applying makeup so much easier (and less messy!).
