Hi Friends! Hope you’re having a great week! I can’t believe it’s mid-April or that our much anticipated beach vacation is coming up in six weeks. Has anyone else felt like spring has been on fast-forward? I need it to slow down so I can savor every second of this gorgeous time of year in Austin.
Today I thought I’d give you a bit of an update on my Whole30 journey now that it’s been about 4 weeks! Did you catch my post on the recipes I’ve been trying?
First thing I’ll say: I didn’t make it to 30 days or even four weeks. Sigh. I stopped the diet last weekend and enjoyed some Mexican food. You gotta live a little, right? (excuses!) By not completing the full 30 day process, I didn’t get the chemistry reset that the diet is designed to do for your body. However, it has been worth it, even if just for a few weeks! It’s better than nothing. I’ve had more energy, am sleeping better, have learned some fun recipes, and now am back at my pre-pregnancy weight! I feel so so good. When I started the challenge, my end goal was to really just reevaluate what I was putting into my body and cut back on the booze and sweets. And I did just that!
I shared some of my favorite meals last week and I wanted to share another that I am making again tonight! It’s a spaghetti squash casserole and I substitute coconut flour for arrowroot flower (because what the heck is that…). It’s so healthy and delicious. If you’ve thought about Whole30 even just a bit, I highly recommend trying it out. Or at least browsing some recipes :)
Now let’s move on to this dress, shall we? Do you remember this post or this post from last summer? As promised, I’m showing you an outfit I found during spring cleaning that I’m pumped to wear again. It’s the same dress (in two colors) that I wore with my bump! I wanted to show you what it looks like without a bump since it’s not a maternity dress anyway. It’s a great bodycon dress for any gal who wants to feel good in minimal style! But it’s great for expecting moms too. You don’t need to size up- there is plenty of stretch with this fabric! However, you probably won’t want to wear it much past seven months with a belly because the dress will become extra short haha. But until then, it’s the perfect dress to show off your growing body :) Or your flat tummy. It comes in 9 colors and is under $60. You can dress it up with heels or dress it down with a denim jacket. Whatever suits your fancy.
Now I’m more of a dainty, minimal style jewelry girl, but I couldn’t resist these fun earrings to wear with it! They scream, let’s get margaritas & have fun! Perfect piece to spice up your outfit.
What do you have going on this weekend? We’re relaxing and I’m hoping we’ll take Charlie to the pool if it is nice enough:) Hope you guys have a great one!

What a beautiful black dress! Pairing with those block heel sandals is also a great idea!
