Heyyyyyy Saturday night! I hope you all are having a good one!
You may be wondering why I’m blogging on a beautiful night like tonight instead of… well doing anything else. Well, Eric is in the BAHAMAS (I feel like that needed an all caps) and I’m day 6 into my Whole30 challenge, so it’s been a really relaxing, do-nothing, kind of day over here and I’m not mad about it. I just put C down and I’m going to quick write a bit before I get in the bath with my book and then watch an episode or two of This Is Us (so behind!). It’s actually kind a perfect, much-needed night.
It was 80 and sticky today. I wish I had invited us over to a friends’ pool but cleaning and organizing got the best of me. With nothing but warm temps and vacation ahead, I can’t help but browse all the swimmies. I just pulled all the ones I own out of our closet, and not only do they not match, nothing seems to fit either. I finished nursing Charlie a few weeks ago and honestly, my body just feels deflated. I’ve never felt so strange in my own skin but at the same time, so proud. Well anyway- I’ve decided it’s time for a new swimsuit. And I’ve been browsing all the one pieces that I’m so happy are BACK IN STYLE!
I just purchased #9 on my list (in two sizes because I read it runs small and I want to see which fits better) and also this bikini (it’s on major sale). I almost bought this because the stripes are so pretty but I’ll see how the other two fit first. There’s a sale going on at J.Crew right now for 40% off so it’s worth it to try one now! I’ll be picking up my purchases tomorrow and I can’t wait to see how they fit.
Since I spent so much time browsing the internet today, I thought I’d share some of my favorite finds. A part of me thinks I should just stick to a cute black one piece but a part of me is so excited for color. I know that some of these swimsuits are pricey. From what I’ve found, I have grown out of, worn through, or simply lost so many cheap bathing suits over the years. I’ve started taking the time to invest in better clothing instead of buying lots of cheap stuff and I’m going to do that with swimsuits too. So maybe simple IS best! Who knows, sometimes something that makes you feel SO good is worth the splurge (like this, this, or this).
Where is your favorite place to buy swimsuits? Let me know!
Happy Spring Friends.
