Our house is in full swing. The drywall should be going up this week. And I can barely contain my excitement! It’s starting to feel real! We are moving into a HOUSE!
I know that when we move, we will have lots of projects to work on and we may get overly excited about buying new pieces. Sometimes that fresh paint makes you want fresh stuff. I love our current living room pieces: our leather couch and chair, coffee table, tv stand, and white chairs. I think we can do so much with throw pillows to accessorize and complete that room. I love these Nami pillows that match our ginger jars so nicely. When I think of the immediate things I want to buy I envision bedding, a full length mirror (hi blog life!), and a bookshelf for Charlie’s nursery. We also have the obvious first necessities to purchase like a washer/dryer… ahhh that #homeownershiplife… it begins.
Our new house is significantly larger than where we live now so when we move, we might have an itch to fill it. Friends have reminded us that it’s a process and we don’t need to do it all at once. That’s why I am already doing research on some of the things I think we need so we can start making purchases slowly and over time.
I’ve been on the hunt for new bedding for a while. We currently have a thin quilt on our bed and not only am I sick of the pattern, but I’m sick of throwing a heavy blanket over myself so I sleep better. I miss having a down comforter! Since I screwed up purchasing our bedding before, I want to make sure I do it right this time. I’ve had my eye on this duvet and think it would look great with some fun pillows… Simple is best. Thank you for all your recommendations in response to my Instagram stories! I now have ideas of where to look for just about everything :)
Other items on my list? (Trust me, Eric has his own list too, ha)… A few artificial plants… Cute tea towels for different holidays. Pretty lamps and pretty coasters. And can we talk about this dining table & these chairs? Yup, already getting ahead of myself. I AM SO EXCITED.
