Hi there! I hope you had a lovely weekend. My in-laws were in town and even though we had crummy weather, we had so much fun. They babysat for me on Friday while E was at work so I could get out and about and do errands/things that are normally trickier with a baby. It was so refreshing! We cooked in, played scrabble, and enjoyed some quality time with Charlie. It was a great weekend for all!
Do any of you struggle with transitional clothing and what to wear moving into a new season? I sure do. The weather is all over the place. One day its 40 and rainy and the next its gorgeous and sunny. You’ll be excited to break out the dresses but then revert back to your sweaters. I find that dressing in neutral clothing is the best way to feel comfortable and fitting with the season. Enter this gorgeous ruffled white sweater. It’s perfect for those chilly days but also when that sun comes out. It’s casual and cute but can be dressed up with darker jeans and heels to go out. It also comes in a pretty blush pink or navy if those colors are better for you. I personally love it with my Levi’s. I was hesitant about buying these jeans because I generally think lighter denim makes me look heavier. But I’ve been crushing on them for so long, I thought I’d try them. And honestly, I feel like they are the perfect mom jeans! I sized up because I’m still trying to lose a little pregnancy weight but most people say they fit true to size. I recommend buying both your size and size bigger (free shipping + returns!) so you can make sure to get the right fit. These are tight in the waist but get loose in the legs once you start walking. Just a heads up!
What do your Mondays look like? I’m always playing catch up. Sometimes, getting organized for the week takes more than a day. We spend Sundays getting our groceries in order, cleaning, and often doing tons of laundry. Laundry is endless with a baby… We cook something fun for dinner and go to bed early! It’s the best. Whatever chores we don’t get to, I finish on Monday. Today’s been a busy one. Lots of laundry, dishes, cleaning, and the likes. The usual. But C and I have been out and about because I’ve been on the hunt for new bedding and when it comes to long term purchases, I want to make sure I do it right.
I think I’ve figured out exactly what I want and I’m so excited! I say ‘I’ because E is down for the ride with this one. Stay tuned for a home decor post coming later this week!
