I am fresh off a winter weekend getaway to Winter Park and feeling totally rejuvenated from the snow fall and mountain air. Yep, nature is so good for the soul. Eric had to work in Chicago last week and I was excited to join him and spend my birthday with my family and then fly out to Colorado for a ski weekend. I had wanted to ski for my 30th but didn’t think it would be possible with a 4 month old. But we made it work and I’m so glad we did! I grew up skiing and love the sport, but it has become quite expensive and a luxury to do, so once every few years when we can do it, I feel so lucky! And I could talk about the cozy mornings sipping coffee watching the snow fall and listening to it crunch under my feet, but you know me, I could talk about weather and the way it makes me feel forever. So I’ll just leave it at that ;)
I’ve been on a casual kick lately and have been having fun picking out different sweaters to wear with my favorite jeans. Something about the color camel make me feel so fresh and cozy. And this sweater is currently on sale! Since I wear casual clothing a lot, I thought I’d spice up this outfit a little bit with a neckerchief. I love the silk texture of this one and how I can also wear it on my bag. It’s such a nice piece to accessorize an outfit with. And it mixes well with so many neutral sweaters.
I cannot believe it’s already February. I’m still melancholic about Christmas being over (GIRL BE CRAY)… But I’m looking forward to all of our spring visitors and the best time of year to be in Austin :)
