Hi friends! I hope you’re having a great week :) I’ve been trapped inside the house the last two days with heavy rain which was great for watching Christmas movies but gave me a serious case of cabin fever. I’m so happy I got out and enjoyed the warm weather today! It will be 14 degrees in Chicago next week and I’m bracing myself to freeze. But you know I’ll be enjoying those chilly mornings by the fire in all the cozy layers…
I’ve been listening to Christmas music nonstop and recently started listening a playlist of the Mormon Tabernacle. Have you listened? It’s absolutely beautiful.
In other news, I recently found the most gorgeous velvet top for winter that I had to share, even though it’s sold out in most sizes. Velvet is really hit or miss for me but when I saw this pretty floral number, I couldn’t resist. I love the cut, shape, and length of this top and will be wearing it many seasons to come. We got dressed up last weekend for a Christmas party and Eric asked if I planned on wearing it– definitely a keeper if the husband asks about it, right?
My sisters insisted I wear it with skinny jeans even though I was dying to wear a leather skirt. I think this outfit would be complete with a simple faux fur coat, don’t you think?
Keeping it short & sweet and sharing some other velvet favorites below :)

Such a cute top! I like how you styled it. I know all about the cabin fever- it was super snowy here all last week so I felt like I didn’t but leave the house for days! Yikes! Feels so good to get out.
