Happy Thanksgiving Week Friends! I can’t believe it’s just two days away. I’m feeling extra grateful for family this year, particularly the amount of time we’ve been able to spend with everyone. We’re very fortunate to have had all the visitors we’ve had and to be able to travel home for the holidays. I’m counting my blessings, that’s for sure!
While my blog focuses on fashion and often material stuff, I love connecting with you on a more personal level. Some of my favorite posts I’ve written are about lessons I’ve learned, new life as a mom, and embracing happiness in whatever new direction it takes. And as it turns out, those posts have been your favorite too.
In light of the upcoming holiday, I thought I’d share a few things I’m really thankful for this year.
Sweater: Halogen | Skirt: Nordstrom | Boots: Halogen | Earrings: Gjorgana
Eric — Fatherhood has brought out new colors in you and I love every single one. You are the best dad and most amazing husband. I’m so thankful for you every day.
Charlie– This teeny tiny little boy has given me more joy than I could have ever imagined and each day we figure each other out a little more. I’ve never felt more like I’m right where I need to be. I love you my little guy!
Good health — As I approach my thirties, I’m becoming more aware of how important it is to take care of and be gentle with myself. I’m so thankful for my health.
Family — I’ve never felt as far away from home than I do now. But I’m so grateful for the routine group texts and calls and lucky to call this family mine! Thanks for having my back you and being there for me when I need it most.
Friends — For the much needed girl talk and wine, reassurance that I’m not crazy, advice on how to get poop stains out of my baby’s clothes, and really, just being there through all the thick and thin. Love you, mean it.
Hot Coffee– Because when do I write a post on things I love and not include coffee? Making my mornings good since, well since I started drinking coffee.
Palmer & Bowie — I love my sweet fluffy side kicks who get me out of the house and give me all the snuggles.
Peppermint Hot Chocolate, Holiday Music, Pine Scented Candles, & Christmas Lights– for getting me in the festive spirit and making this time of year my favorite, always.
Fall Weather —you’re finally hanging around and I’m so happy about it
You– for following along on my journey, supporting me through your comments, likes, and follows on social media, and for being such awesome cheerleaders. This blog has become even more important to me now that I feel my time to myself is precious and limited… This is my outlet! So I’m very appreciative of your support! Thank you thank you.
That’s all for me! I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, wherever you may be. Enjoy all the delicious food and quality time with your loved ones! Cheers!
-XO-
