Our Christmas Card with Basic Invite

11.20.2017

‘Tis the Season for Holiday Cards and I’m so excited to partner with Basic Invite to show you the Christmas card we designed for 2017!

I’ve always been a huge fan of Christmas cards. I love sending them, receiving them, and displaying them. It’s so much fun to see families grow and change. In high school and college I would help my mom pick our family picture and design our card. My sisters and I would camp out at our dining room table and address and stamp the envelopes while listening to our favorite holiday tunes. It was a family project.

Even after college I sent out holiday cards! I felt like it was a right of passage when I starting living on my own. And as soon as Eric and I moved in together, I was sending out a card from us. We literally weren’t even engaged and I was like heyyyy- we’ve been dating 2 years but WE wish you a Merry Christmas! He stuck around you guys- we’re good.

Now that Charlie’s here, it was even more exciting creating our family card. And Basic Invite made the job so easy for me. One thing I loved about the process was being able to order a sample card to make sure the quality was up to par. I was thrilled when it arrived in the mail and met my expectations. I quickly ordered the rest so I could have them ready to rock and send out right after Thanksgiving. I always create our card in November to take advantage of discounts and deals offered before the holiday madness begins. Then I send them out at the beginning of December!

What I also love about Basic Invite was the variety of options to choose from. With over 400 holiday card designs and practically unlimited color options, there are so many ways to get creative. Since I couldn’t pick between 3 photos, I decided on a layout that let me use them all! It was an added bonus that we got to combine our birth announcement and Christmas card into one.

I have a collection of all of our Christmas cards we have sent over the years and I love looking at previous cards and seeing how life has changed. It was Meg, Eric & a dog. Then two dogs. And now a sweet baby.  It’s going to be special watching our family continue to grow.

Right now Basic Invite is offering 30% off unique holiday cards with code HOLI30. Scoot on over and start designing yours! :)

-XO-
