Thanksgiving is just one week away. Holy cow you guys… We’ll be traveling on a plane with C for the first time and I was scrambling this morning trying to get organized for our travels. I totally forgot to order his birth certificate but luckily Southwest Airlines will let you use a shot record as a form of identification. Phew!
I’ve been trying to figure out how much I can actually pack for myself on this trip. I’ve made a list for C and it’s long and wow- babies require SO MUCH. I’m not sure there will be room in my suitcase for the cozy layers I like to bring when I travel to the midwest, let alone some of my usual necessities. Looks like I’ll really have to buckle down and prioritize.
Now I’m a pretty modest person, so the idea of nursing at an airport and then on the plane is giving me quite a bit of anxiety. I’m going to do it. I have to. But it won’t be much fun. I’ve decided that the easiest thing I can do for myself is travel comfortably which means in the above outfit.
Just kidding.
Okay so the top half would work great. Except I would wear a nursing tank instead of the button down and keep the cardigan. It’s a cozy outfit that won’t be too hot with a bjorn and baby over it. I’d ditch the booties for Vans or some tennies though… When I see people in the airport in any kind of heel, I am amazed. And then quite baffled. Especially when they are traveling with a child. More power to you, girl! But I would literally break my ankle. This outfit is purely inspiration for when life gets a little easier, and I have more time for me (and a place to wear booties).
What are your Thanksgiving plans this year? We’re flying home to Dayton where Eric’s family is from and I’m excited for Charlie to meet his aunts and uncles. My best friend is also from Dayton and I can’t wait for our babies to finally meet! Let the ridiculous amount of picture taking begin…
