Yay, a much needed cold front has finally come our way :) It actually feels like November right now!

I’ve decided to start a new series where I answer your questions and share tidbits about my life! I get some fun questions, comments, and DMs from you and thought it would be a fun conversation to begin ;) I’ve had so much fun blogging these last two years and have learned so much along the way. Feel free to ask me anything and I will do my best to answer!

Here are todays questions & requests:

What are your favorite baby products right now?

I shared a post of my favorite postpartum products here and now that it’s been a few weeks, I’ve discovered even more! I am loving my fitted nursing tank that goes under any and every cardigan. It is so comfortable and makes my life easy. Another product I love is my baby bjorn. It’s a lifesaver in the evenings when Charlie is a bit fussy and I love just sliding him in there and walking around the house, hands free.

Give me more baby tips!

Ha! I wish I had more baby tips for you. Every day is a learning process for me. Honestly, as soon as I think I have the hang of something or a routine established, I have to start all over again. I think it’s nearly impossible with a newborn! I will say that the snuggle is real and I adore all the tiny moments with Charlie, staring at his adorable face. My advice is to enjoy your coffee, take a ton of pictures, and try and stay positive on the hardest days. Take the help when it’s offered. And ask your friends for advice. You are not alone!

What are your favorite makeup products?

My favorite favorite favorite makeup product is my concealer from Clinique. It makes my face feel even and blemish free. I also love mascara and my favorite brand is Bobbi Brown. I wear liquid eyeliner most days and just use L’oreal and I love it. Those are my go-to products for every day. When I want a little extra oomph, I’ll put a little blush on my cheeks to give my face a bit of a glow. And I recently tried Kylies Cosmetics… Super impressed! Loving the Charm Velvet Lip kit!

I am visiting Austin and looking for a fun restaurant to try… any suggestions?

Austin has an amazing food scene! Right now our favorite is ATX Cocina. It’s Mexican and the absolute best. Try the oxtail quesadilla. My other favorite restaurant is Uchi. I haven’t been in ages but I can’t wait to get back. Try getting there right at 5pm for HH! :)

Where are you traveling to next? I love seeing your travel guides!

Aw thank you! Our travel schedule isn’t as glamorous right at the moment with a little baby. We’re fortunate to be heading to Ohio for Thanksgiving and Chicago for Christmas so we can see all our family. Next year we hope to get some adventures in with our little guy! We’re hoping to get back to Vermont next fall, maybe Burlington, and possibly Oregon this summer. We’ll definitely be going back to Scottsdale for an annual reunion with my cousin. We can’t wait! Where do you think we should go?!

What are you doing to get in the Christmas spirit?

I literally felt the holiday spirit begin the day after Halloween. We had a chilly morning and I started browsing some holiday gift guides and got SO excited! I just bought Charlie the cutest onesie and I might have to get some Christmas jammies myself.  We will put up our tree the weekend before Thanksgiving and listen to holiday tunes while we do it. I love Christmas so much that I need that extra week to celebrate ;)

I see you wearing the same ear jackets a lot– where are those from?

Oooh I love my ear jackets! I am realizing how much more I enjoy minimal, simple jewelry these days. My ear jackets are from Gorjana.

What’s your go-to daily uniform? I’m sure it has changed now that you have Charlie

My go-to uniform hasn’t changed much since Charlie to be honest. It really changed when I moved to Texas. It’s HOT here! I spend a LOT of time in my house and really prefer comfortable clothing. I wear yoga pants and now a maternity tank daily. I am on the hunt for a few more cardigans so I can be warmer now that we’re moving into cooler weather. But a tee shirt and yoga pants are my go-to! I’m thinking I need these shoes to go with it ;)

What’s your favorite part about blogging? Least favorite?

I love all the creative freedom I have with blogging and the really neat companies I get to work with. I get to be my own boss and mix my love for photography, writing, and fashion into one creative outlet. And Charlie has opened up my world to a whole new chapter: motherhood! And that seems to resonate with so many of you.

My least favorite part of blogging is my struggle with perfectionism. I’m my hardest critic and often I find I’m not meeting my often too-high standards. But at the end of the day, the highs have been worth the lows and I love connecting with you!
