Do any of you have an item in your closet that you just wear over and over again? That’s this Ingrid and Isabelle maternity dress for me. I’m constantly in tanks, shorts, and leggings these days to battle the heat, but when I actually feel like looking human and cute, this dress is my first choice. In fact, I think I’ve worn it to every juice date, brunch, girls night, and happy hour I’ve been to in the last month. It’s so comfortable and effortless and I love the pretty print.
Besides its soft comfortable fit, it’s also a dress that can be styled 3 ways easily depending on what you’re feeling. It’s designed to be an off the shoulder dress, but sometimes I love having those shoulders bare and not worry about the dress sliding up. It’s nice to be able to change it up! Here is what it looks like each way:
Off the Shoulder
This dress is made to be an off the shoulder dress. When I saw a few other mamas wearing it, they rocked it like this. In fact, I didn’t think about styling it any other way until I accidentally put it on ‘wrong’ and then discovered that ‘wrong’ was actually quite right! I love the versatility!
One Shoulder
The one shoulder look is quite pretty as well. It’s that between look: ‘I want you to see this cute shoulder piece but I also don’t want this riding up’ kind of look.. I wear it like this a lot if I am going to eat at a restaurant or spend some time sitting down. I think it’s elegant and super summery ;)
Tube Top
The tube top look is definitely the most comfortable way to wear this dress, especially in the Texas heat. I love how the shoulder details just fall under the bra line in a ruffled fashion. It’s so pretty! This dress is honestly a piece I’ll wear for my next pregnancy (and maybe even when I’m not pregnant- don’t think you need a belly to rock this!) and I’ve decided to snag it in pink as well. It’s $88 but totally worth the splurge, especially if you wear it as often as I do. It also comes in black & white! My sunglasses are only $14 by the way and so chic ;) I have to admit I feel pretty fresh & cool whenever I slip them on.
Here’s to a marvelous week! My sister is coming to visit this weekend and I’m so glad to have one last visitor before baby is here. I’ve had a few rough days in my 3rd trimester and she is so sweet to come down and make me feel better :) Family rocks. Sisters are soulmates.
XO!
