SHOP THE POST
I am totally refreshed and recharged after the most perfect end to our babymoon that we wrapped up in Santa Barbara. Have any of you been there? I’m not sure why I don’t hear about more people traveling there, but I will be launching a post next week with all my recommendations and I’m sure I’ll convince a few of you that it’s a destination you must see. For the first time in a long time, Eric was able to actually relax. If you know my cheerful husband, he’s go-go-go, all the time. The idea of sitting down and watching a television show nearly gives him anxiety. He wants to be socializing, reading an article, or adventuring somewhere, even if it’s just driving around the neighborhood to look at houses. So for Eric to be able to sit down on the beach, no phone in sight, and enjoy the ocean water without feeling this need to do something, says a lot about this vacation! It truly was a breath of fresh air.
It was the perfect weekend to celebrate because now I’ve officially entered 3rd trimester! And I couldn’t be more excited :) Only 12 weeks left until Baby Dunigan makes his arrival into this crazy beautiful world. Remember when I told you how much I looooooved my Leith bodycon dress? I shared it in gray at #20weeks and now you can see how much I’ve grown at#25weeks (I’m 28 right now but these pics are a few weeks old).
I had to get the dress in two colors because it is SO comfortable and flattering. It’s actually a non-maternity dress, so for any of you who want a simple, chic, fitted dress, look no further… It’s so easy to wear with a simple jacket and minimal jewelry. I’m wearing it with none other than my favorite Jack Rogers wedges for summer. So cute & comfy ;)
Here are some #28week updates with Baby Dunigan!
-He is the size of an eggplant or an echidna (depending on what app you’re using)
-He is approximately 16 inches long and weights 2.5 lbs
-His lungs are maturing and he is quite the kicker
-He likes to kick me when I’m embarrassingĀ him which is usually when I’m singing and dancing out loud while I clean the kitchen… Despacito anyone?
-He can open his eyes and see light!
-He is packing on fat and learning to regulate his own temperature
-Mom is packing on fat too (ha!)
-I have heartburn often but still seem to be getting sleep! Hooray!
I had an ultrasound last week where I was able to see him move around and simultaneously feel it. It was wild. And being able to see his teeny tiny face made this whole thing so much more real. I simply can’t wait to meet him! 12 weeks and counting.
Oh so soon.
