Good Morning! I hope you enjoyed your weekend! We had quite a rainy one here and I have to admit that I loved the opportunity to relax and also get tons of stuff done around the house. I’m doing well on my purging for Lent and I’m pumped about all the things I’m going to give to Good Will. And I love that feeling of seeing new SPACE in my house. It’s such a relief.
Today marks the first day of my last week of work before Spring Break! We’ll be in town next weekend and maybe doing some South by Southwest things but then we’ll fly to Chicago on Monday for the week and I can’t wait. But if you’re getting ready to hit the beach or do a spa weekend or maybe just heading somewhere warm, I’ve got some fun finds for you:)
Like this adorable beaded clutch! How awesome are the colors?! Picture that with a white flowy dress. So gorgeous!
But the first thing I think of when I think of Spring Break is swimwear. I love this olive scalloped bikini from Shopbop and this cute cut out black bikini from Nordstrom. I personally find cute, perfectly fitting swimwear hard to come by. Target suits don’t generally flatter my body and I’m very particular about what I wear. Usually I buy from Victoria’s Secret sales. So I’d love your advice! Any favorite swim brands I should check out? I look at comfortable, well-fitting, cute swimwear as an investment…
The next thing I think of with Spring Break is florals! Of course… Florals for Spring. What’s new. I found this long floral dress recently and have had it in my cart for a while now… I’m not sure I really need it but it’s so pretty! There’s also a similar print on as shorter dress which looks so cute for dinner on the beach or a night out :) And after spring break, it would be perfect for Easter or a shower :) If you’re looking for a simple top to go with your white jeans, check out this adorable ruffle silk floral top from Jcrew! Seriously, such a pretty print!
You may have already figured this out, but I’ve grown to love Lilly Pulitzer. Or at least a plethora of their dresses, tops, and rompers. I buy all my pieces during their anniversary sale that usually takes place in August. It’s a good way to get a lot of stuff for a very fair price. However, you really have to know your size because they will be non-refundable after that sale! I found an adorable pink romper last year and it’s one of my most flattering outfits! I love the way it fits my body and its bright print. It’s long sold out but they have a new romper in stock that is pretty much the same but with a different print. Lilly Pulitzer is definitely expensive so I always suggest finding some favorites and keeping your eye on them as sales approach.
When it comes to Spring, a few staples rush to mind. Jack Rogers makes the most amazing sandals and I love these simple flip flops that come in a variety of stitched patterns. Madewell makes a gorgeous every-day tote that is perfect for all your daily essentials. I love the camel color so much! Both the sandals and tote would look gorgeous with this denim jacket, perfect for matching with a striped dress or button down. I also think of blush tones when I think of spring and love these tassled earrings from Baublebar and these simple studs from Kate Spade. There are a variety of colors available for both styles in case you love different colors!
Do you have any plans for Spring Break?! Wishing you an awesome Monday. XOXO
