Hi Friends! How was your weekend? My in-laws were in town and we went out to Fredericksburg, watched a little bit of the marathon, hit some golf balls, and enjoyed a beautiful weekend :) I spent all day President’s Day resting and watching This is Us… If you haven’t seen it, it’s a must! Tune into On Demand to catch it from the very beginning… You might shed tears every episode! Oh so good.
Today I’m sharing a little jewelry inspired post :) I’ve been working on getting organized and thought this would not only help me, but maybe inspire you too!

What my dresser does not look like…. this image up above. But one can dream right?! Thank you Pinterest for your continuous inspiration… Who else has a thing for home decor? I love cozy, neat, organized spaces.
Once upon a Christmas many moons ago, my sister Brit gifted me the perfect jewelry box. It was from PB Teen and to this day still fits all my earrings and bracelets. Two knobs have broken off (moving to and from college) but it still looks clean and organized like the first day I got it. Definitely a favorite gift!
I love a good jewelry box. I wish my space was a little prettier to document and show you but one thing at a time here! Ha. I told you a #30before30 goal of mine is to do a closet clean out and that will include jewelry. And then maybe I’ll take some pictures of my jewelry organization pieces.
I think it’s important to do a routine jewelry clean out. We accumulate jewelry so easily, don’t we? I know I do. I have earrings I made back in high school that I certainly don’t wear now. I have backings to earrings that I no longer own or one earring without the other. I love going through and cleaning out my stuff and getting rid of what I don’t wear anymore. Seeing it all organized makes me happy.
I just discovered some pieces while browsing jewelry boxes online and I thought I’d share them with you. I think a jewelry box and a necklace/earring hanger are the most important pieces you’ll need.
If you enjoy the boxes in the image up above, here are some similar ones from West Elm. I love that you can see the jewelry from the outside. It definitely makes picking out what to wear easier.
If you like a closed jewelry box that’s simple and white and stands alone as a decorative piece on your dresser, consider this box from PB Teen. It has a few drawers which are perfect for storing bracelets and there is plenty of space for your rings. If you want something a little more modern and sophisticated, this metal jewelry box with a glass top is feminine and edgy.
What everyone needs is a place to hang necklaces! You guys, I am notorious for getting my necklaces tangled and it’s just not okay . With this jewelry stand (that’s under $30!), you won’t have to worry about all those tangles. Hang each necklace separately and when you’ve used every hook, go back through an hang separately over the necklace behind it again. As long as they are on the same hook and not draped over multiple as I have done in the past, they should not tangle.
Another important piece of jewelry storage is a good stand for all your dangle earrings. The majority of the earrings I wear are dangles and I need a place to hang them up and organize them. I love this simple white stand from Pottery Barn. It’s simple and will fit many pairs of earrings!
Do any of you have a special jewelry box you keep?
Enjoy your Tuesday guys! It’s going to be a warm week here :) xxx
