Hi there! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas! I’m feeling the usual post-Christmas melancholy… but I’m happy to be home in Chicago in my pajamas sipping coffee in my parents bed next to my mom who is reading. I have made zero plans for the week and I love waking up each morning with an open day. It’s so relaxing.

I received many great and thoughtful gifts this year, but the best of all was having everyone home. And HEALTHY! :) We realized it’s the first time that we have all been together in 5 years and it made for a really special celebration. You’ve probably already gathered that I’m a total homebody (tears are always shed when I leave), and I’m realizing that these moments of togetherness are becoming few and far between. That’s why we are going to try and plan another ‘sibfest’ – trip with all the kids, in 2017!

This year it was 50 degrees on Christmas and today I want to show you this cozy winter outfit that would be perfect by itself on a warm winter day or with a hooded jacket for a cooler one. I got my fuuuuuurrrst faux fur vest this year and I’m kind of smitten. I love the dark grey tones and how it adds a festive touch to any outfit. Plus it is super warm!

I paired it with the softest gray v neck sweater that is perfect for layering and super comfy. It runs large though so make sure to order one size down! I’m wearing an XS for reference. My sister just bought the same one and agrees on how soft it is! You will love it.

I’m also wearing my favorite OTK boots (that are 50% off).  They are almost sold out so if you like these, there are similar pairs here and here. The over-the-knee trend has been a favorite of mine because of how great those boots make your legs look! I love pairing them with winter neutrals and I’m a firm believer that you can wear white all year round. Here’s living proof.
