Summer Dress Up

Well hello there! I hope you are enjoying this hot hot week! I’m savoring every second of my free time with the summer off of school. It’s been fun having nothing really taxing to do. I’ve been in ‘work out, write, relax’ mode and it’s been an awesome taking each day as it comes.

We’re in the midst of wedding season and as a wedding guest, it’s fun to get dressed up for a beautiful night of celebrations. There’s something about a high neck sleeveless dress that’s so classic, yet not ostentatiously sexy. It’s ultra feminine and simple. I bought this dress from the Brooks Brothers outlet several summers ago (in Navy too because I loved it so much) and it has been my go-to for wedding season. It’s easy and depending on the shoes and jewelry, can be made more sophisticated or casual depending on the couple getting married. Or it’s the perfect ensemble for Church, a work event, or any occasion worth dressing up a little bit for :) I love this pastel print high neck dress from Michael Kors that is currently under $75. The cut out is kind of perfect and I love the length. It would work perfectly with the jewelry I’m pictured in above, my KS bangle & my favorite earrings. Another favorite (and one dress I’m DYING to add to my wardrobe) is this Floral Reef Dress from French Connection. I have this dress in plain white and the material is amazing and the fit exquisite. And of course the best part about it is that it is ON SALE.
