June Monthly Highlights

I’m currently posted up in a hotel room in Atlanta while Eric is out kicking butt in some client meetings. We arrived last night and will make a 5-6 hour drive to Hilton Head this afternoon. Thanks to facebook memories, we were reminded we were engaged just 3 years ago yesterday! I can remember that special day so vividly. The Surprise. Champagne. Fireworks. A couples massage. An exquisite dinner. And the awe of what just happened and the excitement of sharing it with our friends and family. Such bliss!

June is always an interesting month to me. In Chicago, it was when we first started getting hints of summer. Cool weather would always weave itself in and out of May and June would be when it finally got warm. We went from perfect weather to extreme heat in the month of June in Austin. But it is always to be expected. June was a lovely month for us and perfect kick start to summer. I say this every month but I can’t believe it’s already over… I feel like I my sisters were here just yesterday. As they say, time flies when you’re having fun. And lucky for me, I get to seem them again tonight!

Here are my June Highlights:

Eric celebrated his 29th Birthday! We had friends over for a cookout after he opened up his new grill! That’s another monthly highlight- all our fun meals cooking on the grill :)

I enjoyed tea & scones at a local food trailer called Bundricks with my pal Alex Foggett while practicing our photography skills

We visited family in Kansas City, MO for a reunion and enjoyed catching up with our two year old nephew Joey

We ate fresh fish, drank champagne, and enjoyed a beach weekend with our friends in Port Aransas, Texas.

We had fun trying different recipes and did a great job making most of our meals at home

I had a fun Saturday sipping mimosas and doing a creative styled shoot for Oh Happy Day Booth– another business owned my friend and talented photographer Kelsey… You’ve seen her pics all over my blog!

I had a wonderful 4 weeks at summer school and am already missing my kiddos! But I’m pumped for a couple of months off and a fresh start to the new school year :)
