I had the pleasure of joining my gal pal and the lady behind the blog Passionfruit And Prunes for a little tea date at Bundrick’s Traveling Tea Parlour last weekend. Nothing makes me feel more sophisticated and lady-like than an afternoon tea date with a friend. We brought our cameras, chatted about life, and of course, took many photos of our tea pot & mugs. Its quite a relief to spend time with someone who understands your need for the perfect picture and is right there with you, standing on the bench overlooking your food (thank God the parlor is outdoors or I might have been kicked out!). I think this video paints the picture quite nicely ;)
Located on East 7th Street, the cozy little outdoor parlour has picnic tables decorated with succulents. Their tea is served in beautiful casual china– the kind that reminds me of my tea set collections from childhood (that I’m now anxious to retrieve from storage). Alex and I split the Cream Tea service which is $12 for two and comes with your choice of tea & two scones. We ordered White Vanilla Grapefruit tea and split a lemon poppy and regular scone. Scones are served with jam and butter and are homemade in the food truck. Their buttery softness and sweet jam will melt in your mouth. Absolutely delicious.

Bundrick’s also offers and afternoon ‘High Tea’ service which is $25 a person and is served on a layered dessert tray. The service includes assorted sandwiches such as the almond butter & honey, herbed goat cheese, tuna salad, and classic cucumber. Sweet tarts and assorted cakes are part of the dessert and don’t forget a variety of scones! And of course, your choice of tea. It’s the perfect set up for a birthday celebration, bachelorette, or bridal shower. What’s fun about Bundrick’s is that it is so authentically food-truck, do it different, super ‘cool’ Austin. With classical music playing softly, and picnic tables seated under the shade of umbrellas, the vibe is whimsical and relaxing. You’ll be sure to have a delightful afternoon. I highly recommend this spot and can’t wait to return :)
Have a wonderful weekend guys!
