I wonder how soon we’re going to look back in fashion and ask ourselves why we bought jeans with holes in them. I say when instead of if, because I know it is going to happen. I think that’s why advertisers describe their product as distressed denim versus ripped jeans: the idea of buying something damaged and paying good money for it sounds plainly stupid. However, millenials everywhere are wearing these jeans. Distressed denim is so IN right now and gives your outfit a little bit of edge. I bought a pair from Nordstrom Rack a year ago and I adore them. Zero regrets. I’ll wear them with booties, a scarf, and long sleeve top in the fall and winter and pair them with sandals and a simple blouse in the spring and summer. I highly recommend searching Nordstrom Rack for a pair before you head somewhere else. You’ll get a better deal there. One brand I adore is Topshop and if you aren’t near an actual store, their merchandise is sold at Nordstrom. They have all sorts of cute jeans (but mind you, run a bit small). If you make your way to Nordstrom, BP also offers all sorts of cute clothing, and usually less expensive than Topshop and other brands located there.
I get it, I get it. Ripped jeans aren’t for everyone. But if you’ve been interested in checking them out, I’ve linked some cute pairs below. Here I styled it with some gold jewelry and a top I found at a local boutique last year. And my favorite watch and sandals.

I don’t own a pair of distressed jeans yet, but I have been wanting some lately! I’m tempted to just distress a pair I already have, but I have noticed there’s a certain aesthetic that the store-bought ones all have and I don’t want to ruin a good pair of jeans! We’ll see what happens :)
