My coworker Chrissy told me about this amazing Avocado Sauce for pasta and I had to try it for myself. I feel like Avocados are so IN right now. Don’t you love that we have food trends?! I’m all about it! I love using avocados in recipes. They’re packed with nutrients and natural fats and taste delicious! So when I found out you can create a gluten free, egg free, soy free, dairy free (basically everything free except Goodness) Avocado Sauce…well, I was sold. Plus it is SO EASY TO MAKE!

Ingredients:
1 large ripe avocado
3 tbs lemon juice
1 tsp salt
1 tbs minced garlic
4-5 fresh basil leaves
3 tbs olive oil
Directions:
Put everything in a food processor and grind it up. And you’re done. That easy.
If it’s not creamy enough, feel free to add a little more oil!
You can use this avocado sauce as a topping for pasta, chicken, or even throw it on toast and eat it with fried eggs. I love the tiny bit of zest its given by the lemon.
