Good Morning! Happy Christmas Week too :) I’m currently listening to Bing Crosby and sipping coffee in my favorite mug. I cannot believe Christmas is already here. We JUST finished up our shopping yesterday. I’m not a procrastinator like my lovely betrothed, but if my extremely thoughtful husband says he wants to take care of certain gifts, better late than never it is. He’ll always think of the perfect present. So naturally, we’re wrapping things up (no pun intended) last minute.
Today I am sharing a look from a shoot I did last week with my new friend and fellow photographer Kelsey Butler (link at end of post). She is such a sweetheart and it’s been pretty neat meeting people in Austin through Instagram. I know, crazy world, right? The power of the #hashtag you guys….
If you’re like me, you love when you find ‘your color’…. As a dirty blonde hazel-eyed gal, that color happens to be olive… along with browns and greens and colors that bring out my eyes… I recently attended a fashion event a Mayastar Austin and found the olive top and scarf listed above. And I feel like I’ve lived in this ensemble ever since. Especially the scarf that goes with everything. With the warmer weather in Austin, I feel like it is totally acceptable to wear white pants in winter. Especially with boots. I love it, especially since it is hard to wear white pants during the normal season of summer because it is so freaking hot here. I’ve already started contemplating HOW I am going to do fashion shoots and posts this summer when I normally live in spandex shorts & a sports bra…. and in the air conditioning… We’ll cross that bridge when we get there…
As a photographer myself, I always ask my subjects to bring at least one shirt, scarf, piece of jewelry- anything, that could possibly bring out their eye color… It creates such a fresh and vibrant look. I love it.
I’ve already packed my suitcase and you can bet that green infinity scarf is in my bag. Along with some other gems I’ll be sharing in the next couple of weeks :)
I hope you have a wonderful and short Holiday Week!
