The Autumn Girl is ONE MONTH OLD! :)
It is surreal to me that it is already November. October 2015 flew by faster than any other month I can ever remember. Even our wedding month last year. We’ve been on the go. We’ve traveled 3 out of 4 weekends. And we moved to a new place. It has been a whirlwind month.
We are so excited to be in our new town house. We feel like we are finally in a home! We have all this space and room to decorate. I’ve been spending a ton of time in the kitchen utilizing wedding gifts that weren’t always in arms reach before. Now the gadgets are out and in full force! Plus we have a window right above the sink which lets in so much light. H a p p i n e s s.
October is always a special month for me. It’s our Anniversary Month. It’s the time of year I used to travel to Wisconsin with my family and enjoy a weekend outdoors. It’s the month when the leaves change and the weather cools. And the beginning of festive holiday spirit starting with Halloween. The air & vibe around us is vibrant. And this year I was inspired by a good friend of mine to begin this blog.
I am not new to the blogging world. I have had a personal blog for a few years that some of my close family and friends have read. But I was never comfortable with the idea of the public being able to read it. It’s so personal! And I’ve been self conscious about my writing. But I recently had an epiphany that people tend to judge each other. It’s a human tendency. And I will probably be judged for different things I say or do the rest of my life… So why put the time and energy into caring so much? It’s a waste. Life is short. So I’m putting myself out there and opening myself up to the world. I may make some grammatical errors or write something that doesn’t quite make sense. And you might see me change it or leave it. But I write what I’m thinking in the moment and kind of roll with it. Like right now. I’m digressing….
Having this blog has been such a blast. I enjoy being able to interact with different people, read about other’s experiences, and get feedback. It’s so friggin cool that people in different parts of the world have seen it. And I absolutely love having this creative outlet.
Each day I’m filled with ideas. And I get excited to fix a cup of coffee and think and let the words spill. So thanks to those of you who have taken the time to read these posts and give me feedback. It means so much to have your support & input!
Hope you had a fantastic Halloween and first day of November :)
Cheers!
