Santa Barbara may very well be my new favorite vacation spot in the USA (besides Hawaii, of course). It’s called the American Riviera because of its mediterranean-like climate. Eric and I traveled there for our ‘Babymoon’ and it couldn’t have been a more relaxing vacation. Now I know that I said Jackson Hole was our ‘babymoon’ but in reality, Jackon Hole was our last adventure before baby and Santa Barbara was more of our relax & unwind letsthinkaboutwhatsabouttohappen trip before baby. If you haven’t been to Santa Barbara before, put it on your bucket list right now. It’s the perfect place for a girls weekend, a mother-daughter trip, getaway with your hubby, or a weekend of relaxation before baby.
From hiking to wine tasting to beach explorations to perfect year round weather, there is so much to see & do in Santa Barbara. Here are my tips for making the most of your vacation!
Hotel Milo is located right across the street from the beach and a short walk from town. It was the perfect location for us to get around easily and we really enjoyed our time there. They offer complimentary valet, a free wine tasting from 4-6 on the weekends, bikes to leisurely explore town, and an easy breakfast in the morning. We spent some quality time laying by the pool reading and then running across the street to put our feet in the ocean, which was about 200 yards from our hotel! I highly recommend checking out Hotel Milo if you visit Santa Barbara. It’s moderately expensive (but no more so than some other places in town), and if you’re celebrating a special occasion or really want to make the most of your trip, it’s the best bank for the buck!
