Today feels like Christmas morning. Almost. I’m feeling extra giddy because the long awaited visit with my sisters is finally here- they’re coming to meet Charlie!
You guys. I have the best sisters in the world. They have been texting or calling me pretty much every single day since Charlie was born, checking in on us and keeping me sane. They ask about my sleep and the latest update on Charlie’s development. They ask for daily pictures to save for their phone screens and to show off to their coworkers. And they have been talking about this visit nonstop, with one bumming hard that she is arriving a few hours later than the other because she is envious of the extra time spent with C. They are amazing, you get it. So I’m just sitting here counting down the hours until we head to the airport ;)
We’ll be doing some Christmasy things while they are here, of course. We’re going to see the light show at Mozart’s and The Christmas Carol on Saturday…(PSA: If you’re in Austin and haven’t seen it, it’s the best version of the show I have ever seen, hands down! I’ve been talking about it nonstop for a year).
We’ll also watch plenty of Christmas movies in our pajamas and you can probably catch a dance party or two over on Instastories ;) YAY. Let’s move on to this sweater.
There are pros and cons to every season, right? If you’re from Chicago like I am, you know that winters can be really rough. But one of my favorite things about the season is feeling put together without trying as hard (some of you might disagree, but hear me out!). Sweaters are one of my favorite forms of clothing because they are super cozy but also the centerpiece of an outfit. They can be taken from work to play simply by changing up the accessories. Switch out pants for a skirt and you’ve got a dressier look. Wear flats and keep it casual. Grab your favorite booties and you’re that perfect in-between.
I love the fun patchwork that makes this gorgeous French Connection sweater different than others. And the turtleneck is loose so I don’t feel like it’s hugging my neck. It only has 5% wool so don’t expect to feel itchy in this one. It’s soft, warm, and gorgeous. It’s a little more than I like to spend on sweaters but I loved the quality. It also comes in winter white with some beige and cream accents to it. I love the look of it with a red lip for Christmas!
That’s all for me!
